Sewer Cleaning

We offer services and solutions to fix a variety of different issues that commonly affect sewer and private on-site septic systems.

  • An augur is a heavy duty tool that uses force to dislodge clogs that are disrupting the natural flow within a pipe. Once dislodged, the obstruction can then make its way out of the pipe and liquid can drain properly. Auguring is effective when it comes to more solid obstructions verses softer materials that cling to the walls of the pipe.

  • Jetting is an effective way to clean drains and sewer lines. It uses high-pressured, concentrated streams of water to clear out piping and is capable of removing softer blockages that an augur would not completely remove. The high pressure used is able to rid the pipe of grease, scum, and other materials that can build-up within.

  • We use cameras to perform a variety of services that allow us to see things that the naked eye can not. Our camera can fit within the sewer piping and inspect what’s going on inside. It can indicate where an obstruction is, or show any flaws such as broken or bowed sections. Cameras also give us the capability to locate tanks and drain fields that’s location is not easily seen from above ground.

  • When draining issues present themselves during the winter months, it can come with more issues than you originally thought. If the access points to your sewer lines and tank are buried beneath the frozen ground, it can make reaching them a daunting task. Rather than bringing in heavy equipment with the power to remove the frost layer, we have a much less destructive approach. Our hydro jetter is capable of cutting through that frost layer using nothing but pressurized hot water. Less time, less mess, faster results.

  • Hydro jetting can be used to not only clean piping, but thaw them as well. Here in Northeastern Wisconsin, winter temperatures get low enough that pipes can freeze. Ice will form and block the pipe, not allowing liquids to pass through. Jetting the frozen line with hot water will quickly melt the ice and get things flowing again. We can also perform this service on culverts. Culverts are drains that run beneath road ways and personal driveways. The freezing of these drains can cause road ways to flood, producing a safety hazard for drivers. Hot water jetting can quickly solve frozen line problems.

  • All on-site private septic systems have either a baffle or a filter. The purpose of these components is to prevent solids from getting out into the drain field. In older systems, baffles were commonly made out of steel or concrete. Over time these materials begin to erode, and will require replacement. We can install new baffles made of PVC, which have more longevity than previous materials used. In newer systems filters are more commonly seen. If your system has a filter, these as well can come with their own problems. Although PVC over-all is a better material, the components can break requiring repair. No matter what filtering system your septic has, we can help when problems arise.

  • Private on-site septic systems require routine maintenance to be performed. This requires the lid of the system to be removed. Older, and even newer systems do not always have above ground access. The lid is buried and digging is required to unearth the opening. If issues arise in the winter when the ground is frozen, this can add higher cost and labor to get to the lid. To make things easier on the home owner, risers can be installed to bring that lid above ground for easier access. The pieces connect to the existing opening, and are built up to ground level creating a new opening. Constructed from heavy duty plastic, they are easier to handle than traditional heavy concrete covers. The lids screw down to provide a secure connection and make removal not so much of a chore.
